Funeral & Memorial Photography

Quiet, respectful photographs of a day your family will want to remember.

Planning a funeral or memorial is hard enough. Having someone there to quietly photograph the day means you can be present with the people you love, and still have the moments to look back on later.

I work in the background. I keep a respectful distance during the service, follow the lead of your funeral director or officiant, and focus on the details that tell the story of the day: the flowers, the program, hands held, the light in the room, and the people who came.

What's included

  • Quiet coverage of the service, and the gathering afterward if you'd like
  • Careful editing of every image you receive
  • A private online gallery for your family to view and download
  • A personal-use license to print and share with family and friends
  • A short call beforehand to understand your wishes, including anything you'd prefer I don't photograph

Personal use

How you can use your photos

Your photos come with a personal-use license. You can print them, share them with family and friends, and post them on your own social media. They aren't for resale or for use in advertising. I never use images from your family's service in my portfolio or marketing without your written permission.

Questions

How do I reserve a date?

A 50% retainer reserves your date. I'll send everything you need after our first call.

How soon will we see the photos?

Usually one to three weeks after the service.

How long does the gallery stay online?

Your private gallery stays online for six to twelve months. Please download your images and keep a copy somewhere safe.

Do you provide RAW files?

No. Every image you receive is carefully edited. Unedited RAW files aren't included.

Will you photograph the person who has died?

Only if your family asks, and only where the funeral home allows it. Those images go to your family alone and are never shown in my portfolio or anywhere public.

Who can see our gallery?

Only the people you share the link with. The gallery is private and isn't listed anywhere. Nothing from your family's service appears in my portfolio or marketing unless you give written permission.
